I really like the chilli crabs at the corner foodstall of Block 95 Lorong 4 Toa Payoh, 5 minutes walk from Braddell MRT.

check out Changi Village hawker centre (behind bus terminus at Changi Village).. there are a couple of stalls there that do pretty good seafood dishes.. btw, we locals also like to eat sambal or spicy stingray (which certainly won 't break the bank like chilli crabs).. other popular seafood dishes are sotong or squids..

As you didn't specify your location,

Here's a general reference :

At Jumbo, Long Beach, Red House, No sign Board chain of restaurants or those at Malls or Boay quay area - average $50- 60per kg/per portion.

At small coffee shops orr eateries might be able to get it for $35per kg. Depending on where u are... but these are usually around housing estates...

Size portions are also a factor. The major chains typically cook 1kg crabs, whereas smaller restaurants & the humble coffeeshop "zi char" (cook & fry) stalls tend to also have 500g & 800g versions. Look for such promo offers accordingly.
