For nonstops, it's Singapore Airlines, THAI, Ethiopian Airlines, and Cathay Pacific for the majors. Cathay Pacific often runs the best promos on their own Website for their single midday return trip SIN-BKK and the reverse. Ethiopian's service is new, so its promos may still be evolving.

Air Asia, Tiger, Jetstar Asia and Scoot for the low cost carriers. Read up on Scoot before booking - that's a precaution. Tiger and Jetstar Asia seem to be typical LCCs. Air Asia, IMHO, is a sort-of class act, second to Nok Air (which unfortunately does not do that route) for LCCs in the region.

I am willing to pay a bit more for Cathay Pacific's promos, when in force when I want to fly. Ditto for THAI or Singapore Airlines, though their promos are often less passenger-friendly than Cathay Pacific's is on this route. That is not unusual when airlines with hubs at either end prevail in the market, and another airline (e.g. CX) also wants to compete.

Again, not sure how Ethiopian will play out. Am curious to try them on this route as (1) they are now Star Alliance, (2) they have a good reputation - and were OK when I flew them in years past, and (3) they may offer the best Star Alliance promos since SAS and Swiss pulled out of the BKK-SIN-BKK leg a few years ago.
