River Safari and Night Safari are pretty much in the same area. Use gothere.sg (key in the address) for directions. Be prepared to spend 70-90mins on travelling time if you don't wish to take a cab.

Try the new Safari Gate express bus service, which is run by the Ducktour/HiPPO people. Pickup/dropoff point is at Suntec City (Tower 5) & the Singapore Flyer.

It's less than a 10 minute MRT ride (3 stops, including one train transfer at Dhoby Ghaut) from Little India to Suntec City (Esplanade MRT).

Take note of the timings for the return trip, though. Catching the last train/bus of the night (typically between 11:30pm & midnight) can be a very fretful affair, not least with the transfers you need to do. For example, if you take the Safari Gate coach back from Mandai (last bus 11pm), you can forseeably catch the Circle Line MRT train from Suntec City (last train 12:01am), but unlikely in time to transfer to the Northeast Line train at Dhoby Ghaut (last train 12:04am). Might end up walking home at the tailend, or pay the extra 50% taxi surcharge. Happens to us locals too.
