"Tango shows" are expensive tourist attractions, but are available if you have limited time.

Here is a list of some in Mendoza:

Address: 1244 Perú St. Mendoza City

Phone: (0261) 429-8029 / 423-5768

E-mail: info@almacendetango.com

Tango and wine is an audiovisual show of great artistic hierarchy that based on a pleasant story, illustrates and entertains. The images projected on two big screens show what Mendoza is like step by step. In the meantime, on stage, dancing and singing complement each other to create Tango.

The show lasts 1 hour and a half.

Besides, tango lessons can be taken with experienced instructors.

Better are free neighborhood milongas (in the gazebo "balcón " in the park across from the Belgrano railway station in BA Sunday nights). They have lots in Mendoza in the summer (from now until April), such as:

Sundays, 21:30 Balcón Gardel, Paseo Alameda (at the corner of Beltran and Aristides Villanueva streets)

Sundays, 21:30 Plazoleta Pelligrini, at the corner of Alem and San Juan

Fridays, 21:30 Plazoleta Vergera, Tiburcio Benegas & Aristides Villanueva

Also every week in the summer they have free tango shows and milongas , with free wine tastings in different parts of the city on Saturday afternoons. The next 2:

Feb 2, 12:30 afternoon: Sexta Sección, Jorge Calle y Bolivia

Feb 9, 19:30 Parque Central, Frente a Mural

In Salta you cna enjoy of Folk Music on Balcarce St. where plenty of Peñas open at night for the show. Our folk music is much more romantic than tango and the dance is completely different. Nice, anyway, and the cost of the show is much more inexpensive.

La Viena estación, Patio de la Balcarce, El Cardon and many others...
