We never took an official honeymoon when we were married two months ago and here it is almost January --- we aren't really carribbean-lay-all-day-on-a-beach people, so options are limited with places to go that are warmer than our hometown of NY! Time is quickly going by, so hoping to go away in February.
Debating on BA/Patagonia in Argentina (on the other hand, were considering South Africa). Want to spend a max of 12 days. Love culture, food and the outdoors, but don't want to be too overwhelmed since it would be our honeymoon and we tend to overbook ourselves when we travel.
Thoughs? Budget-wise we want to stay under 4K (excluding flights). I know flights to South Africa are slightly higher than to Argentina, but not sure if the cost of eating/drinking/inter-country travel is pricer in Argentina since the rate of inflation is so high.
If we did Argentina, what are your suggestions on how to make the most of our time (must-visit places, etc) while staying within budget but having a relaxing honeymoon at the same time?
Thanks so much for your help!Edited: 30 December 2013, 16:21
