Where to start?

Is there a first time visitors "typical itinerary" that is recommended for absolute beginners to S.A.?

I am keen to visit Argentina but despite reading my Footprints guide book, exploring the forum and watching lots of youtube, I am overwhelmed - I want to see it all and I know I can't!

I have about 26 days in December and will arrive and depart in B.A.

I would like to take in 3-4 destinations.

I love cities.

I enjoy stunning scenery - to look at but not to be active in.

I have no interest in wine.

I am happy walking for hours.

I travel alone on a modest budget.

I would appreciate any help to get me started.

Thank you.
