visiting Buenas aires for a couple of days in mid January

can anyone tell me about the weather in January. i heard it was hot and humid which is a little discouraging for outdoor touring.

any hotel suggestions in the mid to high range and suggestions on top one or two cultural sites worth seeing.

Yes, it can be very hot and humid in January in Buenos Aires. It would be a good idea to book a hotel with a pool so that you can cool off after sightseeing.

Both Recoleta and Palermo are good choices for looking for accomodations. Some choices with pool would be Four Seasons, Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau, LoiSuites Recoleta, Home Hotel, Buenos Aires Grand Hotel Recoleta.

A good way to get an overview of the city is to take the yellow hop on/off bus operated by the city(www.bue.gov.ar).
