Hi everyone !
We are traveling in Patagonia 3 weeks in November, probably starting from Coyhaique in Chile. We don't have a car and I have trouble getting some information about transportation in some parts of our itinerary.
1) From Perito-Moreno (the city, near Los Antiguos), we'd like to go down the Ruta 40 to visit the National Parc Perito Moreno rand then go to Chile through the Paso Roballos (same lattitude as Bajo Caracoles) to join the road to Cochrane. Without a car, it seems that we'll need to ask private agencies to join the Perito Moreno National Parc : do you have any recommendations or suggestions about this? Do you know if there is a possibility to join Chile through the Paso Robballos (without a car rental) from Bajo Caracoles or nearby? That is to say without having to go until El Chalten neither going back to Perito Moreno / Chile Chico etc.?
2) Tne second part that seems a bit complicated (but a bit less) is from Caleta Tortel to Villa O'Higgins in Chile. Do we have to go back necessarily to Cochrane ? How difficult it is to go directly to O'Higgin from Tortel?
3) At last, we'd like to join Argentina (El Chalten) wlking from O'Higgin's. I know this is feasible but do you have recommandations or suggestions about that? How long does it take ? ∆o we have to go with a agency?
You will have understood that we would like to access less "easy" parts of Patagonia without a car so we are looking for the best compromises.
Many thanks in advance for all your suggestions !
