Diving in Brazil

Hi,

I am going to Brazil next month and am thinking of diving in the Rio de Janeiro or Florianópolis (Santa Catarina) area - which site is more worthwhile? I know there are better dive spots in Brazil, but these two are all I can visit this time.

Regards,

Jakub

If you stay in Rio, you may chose to go to Arraial do Cabo or Angra dos Reis, two of the best diving spots in the country. These cities are 200km from away from Rio city. I do like Arraial do Cabo for diving.

While in Santa Catarina, try Ilha do Arvoredo or Bombinhas city.

There are a number of diving centers in and around Rio that offer scuba diving trips to Arraial do Cabo.

Thanks! That's very helpful - if you had to choose, though, would you dive in Arraial do Cabo or Ilha Grande?

It really depends on the spot but I'd go to Arraial for diving.
