Magic Mountain - Huilo Huilo

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Magic Mountain in Huilo Huilo?

Did you book before you went? And if so how?

Many thanks :)

You would definitely need to book. You can book all the lodging in Huilo Huilo on their website:

I have stayed - an interesting and enjoyable experience in a wonderful area.

We booked through Expedia with no problems.

Hmm! Not sure.

They are virtually the same hotel with shared facilities - foyer, reception, restaurant etc.

I rang expedia to ask because it wasn't showing on their website and they said they can only book rooms for Baobab. That's ok I'll keep trying huilo huilo, thank you for your help :)

The way I remember it, is that Magic Mountain is slightly more 'upmarket' than Boabab but not much difference.

If all else fails, you could book Boabab as I am sure the experience will be much the same.

Or book Boabab and see if they will upgrade you when you check in.

Wonderful area...the place is really interesting but some of the worst service I have experienced in a long time. Tons of staff but very few will go the extra mile. Top room can go for 400.000 CLP in high season about 900 US approx. Crazy. It is a fabulous location but has a lot of additional extras which were annoying when you are paying so much money. For example, to go to the nearby beach it they charge 4000 pesos PER person for less than a 10 min.jaunt down the street. Would go again but stay in one of the cabanas near to huilo huilo but not the magic mountain
