what cities and how long do I need

Want to go visit Chile and spend 8-9 days , one night in Santiago then , Vina and Valpo 2 days and then South but don't know where then spend one more day and night in Stgo before returning.

Should I make reservations or just go and do it there. Also someone told me to go either in October or April so is not to crowded.

November or March would be better for weather and still off season. Where you would want to spend time depends rather on your interests. Possibilities in the south, include Pucón and Villarica, Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt, Chiloé, Valdivia and Concepción. I ould also think of another day in Santiago and sometime to go to a winery or two - lots of choice on the highway between Santiago and Valparaiso.

If you are flexible just go. There should be few problems with accomodation. How do you plan to travel?

You should spend another day in Santiago before heading down to Val and Vina de mar. A day tour up to the Andes is well worth doing.

www.chileabout.com do fantastic tours.

What to Do in Vina: Catch the mini coast bus to Concon great coastal drive. Have lunch at restaurant Pacifico at Renac or Mar de Vina. Dinner at La Barquera at the Casino. Walk to Oceania Hotel from the Casino along promenade for lunch about 1hr.(fab views).
