Taxi from SCL Airport to Sheraton Santiago

How much should we expect to pay for a taxi ride from the airport SCL to the Sheraton Santiago on Ave Santa Maria, in Chilean Pesos.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I called the official taxi company at the airport, and the rate is CL$15,000.

One important aspect of catching a cab at the airport is to use the official service, in order to avoid being taking on long "tourist" routes or being scammed with change, something that a few unsavory drivers do.

Therefor, you should approach the transport counters, located in the baggage claim area. This is before you pass customs and exit the general terminal. Right where the conveyor belts are, you'll see some stands for transfers and taxi services. You request and pay the service at the desk, with official fixed rates. Then you exit with your luggage after passing customs and go straight outside to the taxi stand with a ticket you'll be given upon payment. You hop in the cab and that's it.

Unfortunatly, you'll probably encounter a group of people outside offering taxis services, saying they're official and waving IDs. Since theres no way to be sure, the best option is to buy this ticket before passing customs.
