Day time stopover in Santiago

Hi there,

Was hoping someone might have a suggestion for us - we are travelling to South America in March/April, and have a stopover in Santiago from 6am to 11pm. We will have flown through the night from Quito and will be definitely keen for a shower and a nap. Does anyone have any suggestions of somewhere that might offer such accommodation that would be comfortable and convenient???

Thank you in advance!

Tanya

"comfortable and convenient" would be the Holiday Inn located in front of the terminal.

Then when you wake up, if you are bored, you could take the airport bus or a taxi into town to get to a decent restaurant and do some quick sightseeing.

Don't forget about the reciprocity fee if traveling on an Australian passport.

Thank you very much for your kind advice.

May I ask - I don't know anything about the reciprocity fee??? What is that and who do we have to pay it to???

Last time I checked it was $61 USD for an Australian passport. Good for 90 days and you pay it at a set of booths BEFORE the line for passport control.

They take USD cash or credit card.
