6 hour layover in Santiago

I have a 6 hour layover in Santiago before my flight to Buenos Aires. Is there enough time to go downtown and back before my flight?

Maybe for a quick meal. If you don't already have a reciprocity fee stamp, it will cost you an extra $140 USD. Figure $140/6 hours = approx. $23.33/hour or less if you plan to return to Chile before your current passport expires.

Oh wow. I forgot about the tax. Maybe it might be better to just stay inside the airport then. Is there WiFi/places to eat??

Apart from paying the tax you'll need to get through customs etc then get yourself downtown and not long after that you'll need to turn around and go back. Hang at the airport and have a meal and a drink.

You will have to stay in the transit lounge but there are places to eat, the duty free and fairly comfortable chairs.

It is very important that you get your luggage tagged all the way through to Buenos Aires so you do not need to go through passport control to collect it.

Please know that it is not a tax you would have to pay. It is a reciprocity fee equivalent to what a Chilean person would have to pay to visit NYC.
