Reciprocity Fee - Can you be charged twice?

Hello,

I didn't see this answered in another post. We are US citizens flying into Santiago, on to Buenos Aires, and back to Santiago for the return flight home (because we are using frequent flyer miles and that is the only option).

Assuming we pay fees on our way into Santiago and Buenos Aires, will we have to pay the reciprocity fee again when we fly back to Santiago?

Thanks for your help!

Only if you lose your passport or it expires before the next reentry.

Good for life of passport for US citizens entering Chile at SCL.

For Argentina the fee is good for ten years, even in an expired passport.
