Itinerary for a 9 day First trip to Chile???

Where should I go for 9 days in Chile? I don't even know where to start. I will be traveling there for a 9 day solo trip mid/end of April. I am well traveled I've been to 22 countries but nothing in South America. I am a fit 32 year old female looking for fun sport, landscapes and adventure! I want to experience culture, hiking, cycling, rockclimbing, diversity, anything NEW! I like to move not lounge. However I don't want to spend a lot of time in transit, I only have 9 days so I want them to be enjoyable! Send me ideas, suggestions and pictures if you have them! Thanks!

Torres del Paine is voted 8th Wonder of the World by Virtual Tourists members..

Other places you can consider are the lake district and the atacama desert.

You can travel on your own, but it takes more planning in April as lodging and transport options diminish somewhat. There are a lot of trip reports on TA. Use the search box for the Chile forum. Put "Torres del Paine April" in the box.
