What is the best trek in Ecuador?

I am looking into the treks in Ecuador and will probably have only time to do only one or two.

Which one would you recommend, and why?

El Camino del Inca

Chimborazo Circuit

Papallacta to Cotopaxi

Pinan Lakes

thank you.

Best trek in Ecuador is the Condor trek (Papallacta to Cotopaxi) it takes 5 to 6 days and certainly this is one of the most breath taking expeditions in our Andes. You start at the border of the Cayambe Coca Reserve, close to the famous Papallacta area and then you go all the way up and down trough the humid bush andean forest on the eastern base of the Antisana volcano. From here you reach views that you can't get from a bus or a car. I will say here is where the most dramatic lanscapes of Ecuador are. If intending to do it you have to arrange trough a good Trek Company. Is not allowed to trek on your own. Regards to all.

Second best Trek is the Camino del Inca (Inga Nian). In Ecuador since we where conquered by the incas, just 60 years prior to the spanish arrived here, there are no real vestiges of Inca trails; what people call Inca trails are the original pre-colombian Trails built by the several indigenous groups that populated our Andes thousands of years before the incas. In other words the Inca Trail in Ecuador was built by precolumbian people before the incas, but it was used by the incas for military conquering and comunications. The trek around the precolumbain trail is marvellous. This is right on the Central Andes and it is an historical trek more than anything. You can see a few lakes and lots of short Andean mountains, the highest Andes are in the North because they are newer than the southern Andes. It takes 3 days aproximately. Regards to all.
