Hotel stay near airport in Quito

I will be arriving late in the evening in Quito and am looking for a hotel to stay in. Nothing too fancy, but safe and near the airport, because I have to leave the next morning for the airport.

Any suggestions? Thanks

We stayed at the Sheraton Quito during our Quito vacation. It's only about 10-15 minutes from the airport even with traffic. I really enjoyed it, it was a great hotel.

I've stayed at the Sheraton in Quito three times on various trips, it is close, quiet, and very safe. I agree with the above poster.

I just got back from a week in Quito last night, and we spent our first night at Hotel Los Alpes which was 10 mins or so from the airport. I just posted a review, but in a nutshell, it was very quiet, felt safe, warm blankets on the bed, tv and phone but pretty basic. Rates with all taxes (for a room for two) was $70, and airport pickup was $5/person (dropoff would probably be the same, I'm guessing).

We got in late and headed to bed, so I can't give you much more detail, but the staff were pleasant and it was a good place to land for a night.

Enjoy your trip!
