quito volcano

do you advise visiting quito end of october. we are a little hesitant because of the recent volcano eruption. what are the conditions in quito due to this recent eruption?

The Tungurahua volcano is some 5 hours away from Quito, and there has not been any impact in Quito whatsoever. No ash, no nothing. No closure of the airport or anything else.

The volcano is south of Quito, and of course, nothing north has been affected either, so seeing Otavalo, Ibarra, etc. would be just as normal, as is seeing Cotopaxi.
