We arrive in Lima and are traveling overland by bus. The only commitments we have are the Inca Trek departing on the 12th April so we plan to be in Cusco by the 9th and then we have to be back in Lima on the 22nd April for our flight to Iquitos.
We may travel down the south coast from Lima and have from the 1st April to the 9th April to explore Pisco, Ballestas Islands, Huaccachina, Ica and Nazca making our way towards Cusco by the 9th. Is this realistic but bus travel? We do want to some chill out time too.
Alternatively from Lima instead of the coastal route at the beginning of our trip we could head for Huancayo and Ayacucho and onwards to Cusco and then after the Inca Trek travel to Puno/Lake Titicaca and then Arequipa and save the south coast for the return leg to Lima by the 22nd April.
What do you think experts? Many thanks in advance for your advice. PS we are two females. Thanks!
