sounds a great family adventure?

Hi all. we are planning a family trip to Peru. We are a fairly active family (2 adults and 2 older teens) who spend a lot of time in the outdoors. We thought this trip appealed to us www.worldexpeditions.com/nz/index.php…

Would appreciate any advice and feedback on the iternary or trip. Or any other recommendations to do?

Seems like a lot of traveling around. It's a pretty packed itinerary. Skips a couple major sites in favor of outdoor activities like hikes and rafting which maybe is ok for a family.

Pisac, Chinchero, Moray, the salt pools at Maras just off the top of my head. There's a number of ruins in and around Cusco. Those are all in the Sacred Valley. If it was me, I'd want to have some time to see these, especially Pisac. The itinerary does not say what you'll do during your tour of Cusco but it looks like there's some time there. It also skips Lake Titicaca and Colca Canyon, which are both beautiful. But again, not the end of world if your family prefers rafting and hiking instead of sightseeing.

Seems like a very quick trip to the Amazon. You've got to fly there and back and all you end up with is one day.

"Fly to Jungle" and "In jungle" day 5 and 6? Looks to rushed. Seems like this agency is just subcontracting a local agency in Peru (or many).

as a family we arent interested in visiting heaps of ruins. Honestly, interested to see one or two ruins. But would rather see other things. Any suggestions on the ideal tour for 2-3 weeks

like others said, plenty to do without ruins, visit the awesome Barranco in Lima, and the other suburbs like Miraflores, the market at Chinchero, Puerto Maldonado has another side of the Amazon, with the clay lick of parrots, Colca and the amazing Lake Titicaca and that culture of Uros, the Salkantay trail for hiking, plus other activities up north and beaches.

Your jungle visit and stay is way to short !

You need at least 3 and better 4 days

The amazon jungle is something we are considering. Weighing cost and time is it worth the trip? Ive read mixed reviews.
