Rainforest Expeditions Trip Reviews?

We are visiting Cusco mid-May and would like to go on a short 3 day, 2 night rainforest trip. Does anyone have experience with Rainforest Expeditions (perunature.com)?

Did you go with Rainforest Expeditions? I would be interested in a review and how it went. Looking to do the same. Thank you.

Hi Salkantay Trek

We work with these guys a lot, and, from visiting there and what our guests say, almost everybody loves it.

If you can, go for 4 days. Three days will give you a taste, but I suspect you may wish to stay longer.

A three day trip is really just one full day, as day one is arrival at lodge PM, and you leave early from the lodge on day three.

All the best

Rainforest Expeditions are great! Both Posadas Amazonas and Refugios Amazonas are excellent options and will provide a wonderful Amazon experience. Refugios is a bit newer and about about 2.5 hours to get to on the boat versus Posadas Amazonas which is only about 1.5 hours each way.

3 night/4 day trips are much better if you have the extra night as you are limited to what you see and do on the arrival and departure day and having 2 full days there aside from the IN and OUT days really makes a big difference IMO.

Lake Sandoval Lodge is another great lodge which is only slightly more expensive than either of these options above but with a different company (InkaNatura).

The nicest option is Reserva Amazonica (run by InkaTerra) and this really the only luxury Amazon Lodge in Peru. It's an amazing experience and if your budget allows it certainly worth the upgrade.

Any of these 4 Lodges will provide an outstanding Amazon experience,

Enjoy your trip!

Posadas Amazonas made it to the National Geographic Traveler 2011 stay list for South America. Refugio, which is slightly farther up river than Posadas is another excellent option.
