Those are the links. In general, there was not much difference and if I went again, would just do expedition. Vistadome had windows on the roof while expedition did not so theoretically you could see better. In practice it was not much difference. Expedition served a snack, like a bag of banana chips and tea. Vistadome served a meal which was a packaged sandwich. Expedition had a "fashion show" which meant the attendants walked up and down in Alpaca clothing they tried to sell you later. Honestly, it was kind of annoying and I'd have preferred not to have it.

Vistadome did have comfier seats, more like an airline seat with plenty of leg room. Expedition had more upright seats with half facing forward and half backwards with a table in between each group of four.

That was all from Ollantaytambo. Assume same from Cusco. Lots more train options from Ollantaytambo so depending the rest of your schedule you may want to take the train from there.

Vistadome: Supposedly a first class experience, leather seats, windows in the corners of the roof, includes snack and drink (which is average) and includes a fashion show in the return. Also slightly more expensive.

Expedition: Standard carriages, mainly used for budget minded travelers including trekkers on the Inca Trail, no snack nor drink included (but can be bought) slightly cheaper.

Not unless it's changed recently. We got a snack and tea on our expedition train last year at no charge.

For a few dollars, get the Vistadome first class. If for no other reason, they have tables at the seats and leg room. The other trains were crammed.
