I day in Lima

Hello,

We are coming back from Cusco and will stay one night in Lima. We will have an evening and the whole day into a night before out midnight departure.

What area of Lima should we stay for a night? I heard that Miraflores area is very nice, but is this too far from the airport? Will it be too far to drive to historic places of Lima and the water park?

Thank you for your help :)

Miraflores will be a great place to stay.

You can visit the Water Park on the afternoon of your arrival and Lima on the next morning.

You can go by taxi to the Water Park and you ask your hotel for a recommended taxi, a little more expensive but worthwhile.

The airport can be a little far away but a normal drive from a city to the airport, depending on the day and time you arrive the traffic will be mostly the issue.

Hope this helps

Thank you!

What do you mean by "issue" with getting to or from the airport? How big is an issue and how long of a drive? Maybe we should not stay in the Meraflores area?

Thank you again for your help :)

Its normally a 45 minute ride. Should have no problems.

The water park is cosed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

It is the way peruvians drive and the traffic, that would be the issue.

By all means stay in Miraflores, it is a very nice place to be, you can walk around, visit LarcoMar, watch a beautiful sunset and the sea.

As I say depending on the traffic it can be aprox 45 minutes from the airport to Miraflores.

Thank you for your advice and explanation. I guess we will have to wait with the water park till following day, which is Wednesday since the park is not open on Tuesdays.

Is there a specific hotel that you like better then the other?

Will be able to find a ride to the airport very late at night or should we booked a taxi ahead of time?

Thank you :)

Have you checked some hotels in the area? You can search for them and can provide us the names and we can recommend them for you if you wish

When finding the hotel you can ask them to send you a taxi, I think that will be the best way for your transfers.

Yes, I am looking at:

Radisson Decapolis, Hotel Boutique Casa Inka, Casa Andina, or something similar?

I am also in a search of vegan food? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

AlmaZen is a nice place. Its located on Recavarren on the corner of Jose Galvez (I think), which is just a few minutes from Parque Kennedy, toward the ocean.
