logistic of taxi green hiring at airport

Will be leaving for Lima soon. Radisson charges too much for a taxi ride from airport to hotel. I have read that after you clear customs, you can hire taxi green and pay the fixed price.

Do I pay before I get into the taxi?

Once I reserve a taxi, does the taxi driver escort me out of the airport building to his taxi car?

Do I receive voucher and then have to leave the airport building and find the location of Taxi green?

Thanks, will be arriving late in the evening.

You may pay at the airport before getting into the taxi or you may do so once you arrive to the hotel.

The taxi driver escorts you to the taxi and helps you with your luggage.

You are entitled to receive a "boleta" or invoice for what you paid for the taxi service but most of the time you will only get it if you request for it at the time you agree on the service at the airport.

Your best bet is to pay at the counter, get the receipt and then the driver will escort you to the car while taking your luggage.

Upon arrival to the car, you or the driver should load the luggage on the trunk, do not let a third person do it for you as he will then ask for a tip.
