Location of Iconic Machu Picchu Photo?

In most photos of Machu Picchu, there's that iconic photo of Machu Picchu with the tall mountain in the backgroud. From where is this photo taken from? Thanks!

When you enter the site, close to the entrance is a set of steps on to your left that go up up up and then up up up some more. At the top of that is the place to get the most popular pix. After that, don't bother to walk back down those steps, just continue on your way through from there.

I believe the spot is near the Caretaker's Hut (or House of the Guardians). If you get the brochure, it will be marked on it. As the previous poster mentioned, the steps near the entrance lead up there but it may not be the most practical way to begin exploring the ruins. You will eventually make your way to that spot at some point during your exploration.
