Not possible for MP

to be the "birthplace" of sun worship.

Machu Picchu was erected on top of a 2.350 meters (7.710 feet) high mountain in the Urubamba jungle, at the time of Inca ruler Pachacuti.

MP dates to and was built in 13th-14th centuries...

Inkan sun worship started LONG before that...

This is just the usual ignorant

for stupid tourist consumption malarkey...

The home of the Inca was located on the Isle of Sun (La Isla del Sol) in Lake Titicaca - according to archaeologists it might have been one of the residences of the upper class Tiahuanaco people. The hypothesis would also explain why Manco Capak was sent by the sun god, as the island became to be called the Isle of Sun only after the sun worship had become the Inca state religion.

All of this way before MP construction...

Well, sun-worship is a common phenomenon in ancient times. MP certainly is one of those historical sites that give the birth of sun-worship.
