Wedding Anniversary dinner - Aitutaki (with brats)

Hi all,

We're going to be on Aitutaki for our 5th wedding anniversary in April. We eloped to the Cooks and had such a lovely time that we wanted to show the kids (ages 9 and 12).

Does anyone have a recommendation for our wedding anniversary dinner? We will have the children so it can't be an adults-only place. They are great travellers and very well behaved in restaurants.

An "island night" could be fun - but we'd prefer something (I hate to use this cliche) authentic, rather than touristy.

Any ideas??

Julie

Here a few of my favourites in no particular ranking or order - all suited to family dining - yet each is located in a romantic setting too.

Puffy's island night - Wednesday if available - authentic and truly Aitutakian hospitality, very affordable - small children among their dance troupe

Tamanu Beach Resort - Thursday island night buffet dinner and floorshow featuring fire dancers - showy but fun

Tupuna Restaurant - delightfully different, and good food - attractive garden setting with sand floor

Samade - on the beach, wonderful sunsets and lagoon views, relaxed, rustic surroundings right beside the lagoon.

Good luck with the decision-making!
