No In-room Safe...

Does anyone have any tips about what to do with your cash (as I take F$) and passport when you don't have a safe in your room??

Can you leave it in the resort's office safe??

Thanks,

Julie.

I have travelled all over asia not having the luxury of room safes and I have some basic rules that got me through with no issues

1. Leave cash passport and credit cards etc in the office safe

2. Always get a written receipt highlighting exactly what was in your package.

3. Never just put "Cash" on your receipt, always put the full cash amount in notes and coin breakdown.

Any reputable hotel will be happy to do the above. Still doesnt gtee you from theft but it puts the responsibility back on the hotel, not you.

Thanks so much for that info Thebirchadventure ---- my only thought was to bring an envelope and put everything in and then seal it -- good idea to note contents and get signatures.

Cheers,

Julie.

We too used the safe in the office when the one on our bure was not working. Had no problems. If you take money out, be sure to note the new amount. Again sign and have the staff member do the same.
