Taking Sparkling wine in Check Luggage.

My wife wants to take a few bottles of her favourite sparkling wine with her in May as they dont sell it duty free.

I know it will have to go in check luggage. It will be packaged in bubble wrap individually and placed in the centre of the bag. Just in case the baggage handlers accidently are a bit rough with the bag.

Just wondering if it would explode with the pressure.

I have travelled with Champagne packed as you have explained.

We had no trouble :-)
