Question about luggage during a layover

If our flight is from Los Angeles to Brisbane and we have a layover in Nadi, do our bags get checked through to Brisbane or do we have to claim them in Nadi since that is a layover? Just wondering if we have to haul them with us for the day or if we could just take our carry-on to the hotel. Would we go through customs and immigration with everything and then leave the big stuff at the airport?

If your bags are not checked through - there is a luggage storage at the airport. We have used it before with no problems. It's at the far left hand end of the departure check-in area (looking from the road).

Responded to your other post. There is a link with daily prices for storage.
