Treasure island closed what to do now

Very sad at the recent update that treasure will be closed until December as we have booked and deposited for May.

I am sure they will refund the deposit however now I am at a loss as to where to stay. Mana is accepting bookings for a comparable price or should we just stick to the coral coast for the whole 10 nights ?

I am worried another island booking will lead to another cancellation do you think our travel insurance would refund our flights as our resort of choice is closed.

So confused

Some boat here - we had booked Treasure from late June to early july. Already had our last 3 nights booked for Mana, and have just emailed them to ask if they can add us in for earlier nights as well.

Very disappointed :(

Just think how wonderful Treasure will be when they re-open! They're probably going to take the opporutunity to build the new bures they were planning while the resort is in mayhem anyway.......

Mana would be a great alternative if it is fully operational. Unfortunately with so many islands damaged in the cyclone, the options are limited. You would have to check the terms of your insurance but I think it's unlikely.

You could try a different resort on the coral coast or maybe a Yasawa resort. Captain Cook cruises are a great option too. Don't be terribly disappointed - you'll still be on holiday in Fiji in the middle of Aussie winter :)

You could split your stay between Mana and the coral coast. Mana has good beaches and not too far from the mainland.

I would go to Mana 10 days too much for Coral Coast. Islands worth it.

Thanks everyone

Looking at Mana or Plantation now as they are the two that fit our budget.

Can anyone advise which they prefer and why? Prices are almost identical.

We have been offered Mana as an alternative. Did you stay there and were you happy?

Mana Island Resort & Spa would be a great alternative. Three beautiful beaches, 2 pools, 2 restaurants, kids club, wonderful spa and grades to accommodation to suit all budgets. A large island with plenty of space to explore, hike and relax. You never feel cramped or over-run with guests. Mana is fully operational, new decking around the pool areas, north beach restaurant area and decks. Look up www.manafiji.com for an overview.
