Turtle Air/BLBR

Just wondering how long the trip from Nadi airport to the Turtle Air departure point will take?

We are arriving on the red-eye Brisbane to Nadi at 4.30am in the morning, so also looking at options once we get through customs. Best Turtle Air can say is maybe a 9am departure to latest of 11am.

And is the departure point well known amongst taxis?

You can actually see where it is if you take a look on google maps. It's tucked around the beach side of Nadi airport on Newton beach which means you have to go around the airport and back track a bit to get to it. There are posters here that have flown Turtle Airways, I'm sure they can offer more insight. If you're looking for a stop gap to fill in the time between clearing customs and boarding your Yasawa flight Raffles straight across the road from the airport entrance is a good option. I think Hooked On Fiji has mentioned that they are open for an early breakfast.

If you are travelling with Turtle Airways, they have an office in Nadi Airport when you come out of international arrivals. They have a courtesy mini bus to/from their hanger, a 25-30 min drive from the airport.

Email BLBR and ask them to contact the reservations manager atTurtle Airways hanger to see what time their mini bus will be leaving for the hanger that morning.

The trip from the airport to the Turtle Air is about 15-20 mins. Flights out of Nadi to the Yasawas and Mamanucas usually run at 8am,9am,10am,11am, 2pm, 3pm, and 4-5pm. This will depend on all the passengers arriving into Fiji that day. Usually, morning arrivals will go out to the island on a mid-late morning flight - so a very short layover in Nadi compared to some other providers. They also offer some great pricing - between $300-375 per person one way.

You can reach Turtle Airways on ; sales@turtleairways.com (or) call them on +679 6721 888

From memory, the taxi fare from Nadi Airport to Turtle Air runs at about $12 AUD. This is not too bad, given the amount you save in layover time in Nadi and also the price for the seat.

Hope the above is helpful.
