Which of the South Pacific islands should we go to?

It's my 40th birthday in April and my partner and I would like to go to the South Pacific but are unsure which I country or island to go to. We'd like some luxury without paying the earth to be by the beach and have some culture and be able to go on day trips - preferably by ferry/boat to a guided tour. We both like nature, wildlife and culture. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the website for Navini.

Accommodations are more comfortable than luxurious. All daily morning snorkeling and island tours are island included in the price. The resort has 24/7 transportation to the island so no need to overnight on arrival/departure, or wait around for transfers. After clearing customs, will be at the resort in around an hour of landing in Nadi. If you stay 7 or more nights transportation to the island is also at no additional charge.

The following link has pictures of our vacation to Navini. Will give you an idea of the bures, resort grounds, beach, etc.

Sau Bay Retreat may also suit.

Prices for both resorts are in FD, so do the conversion to AUD.
