Fiji Hideaway

We have a family group going to the hideaway next Tuesday, the group consists of 3 adults aged between 50-65, 4 adults aged between 30 and 40 and 2 children aged between 1 and 4.

I understand that there is not much around the resort but that was the main idea of booking there, no running around/relaxing holiday.

Just wondering though if anyone would recommend anything in the vicinity of the resort that it worth while looking at? schools?, walks? other hotels?, restaurants?

If not no worries like I said laid back is our main focus.

Not far from the Hideaway there is the Biausevu Village Waterfall tour, this can be arranged from the hideaway (might be a bit much for the young children though)...there's also an excellent little restaurant called Eco Café, worth going to for dinner..

The Hideaway put out a daily activity list that will include a village visit and walks through the bush, guided snorkelling tours etc

Have a great time, its an excellent little resort

Can also highly recommend the Biausevu Waterfall Tour - but first read my review. Will be fine weather during the now settled months, without much rain (or sudden rain!) Wouldn't recommend for the one year old - but the 4year old should be fine - an easy walk and there are plenty of local villagers to help - they are superb and will even carry guests if need be. Horses are also available if required. Biausevu Waterfall trip is very beautiful and well worth the effort. Wear suitable footwear, take some water and snacks, swimwear and your cameras. Tour can be arranged via your hotel activities desk. Your 1year old could be looked after via Hideaway's babysitters for a few hours. Enjoy your holiday.
