We are a family of 4. 2 adults & 2 children. We stayed at Novotel x 1 night, outrigger x 8 nights & Shangri la x 6 nights. We had breakfast included & the kids ate free at the outrigger. We did a village tour, fire walking show, kula Eco park, half day tour to some local schools etc, mystery island, bebe spa treatment. We had $1000 FJ credit at the outrigger plus we spent $2000 AU during our 15 night stay.

if you eat where the locals eat you will save a fortune

leaving the Outrigger will not kill you, as suggested by the signs at the end of the beach

go out the front and ask a taxi to take you to the hotel 5 mins up the road or you can walk down the beach and up the hill a little you can see the lights from the beach, be careful for cows (yes cows) walking on the beach

Sunset strip korotogo is only a 5 minute walk along the beach. There are many restaurants along the strip. Beachside cafe & mini mart, Le cafe, Bedarra inn, Casablanca, Crows Nest & Kokos Bar. They all have happy hour at various times as well. Kokos also offer a free shuttle. My favourites are Kokos & Bedarra inn.

Heavens, that brought back memories. It's many years since we stayed at the Outrigger - at that time it was simply the Reef Resort - now much extended.

But one of my lasting memories is sitting in the restaurant eating an early evening dinner and being amazed to see a very large group of cattle walking along the beach. So some things dont's change.
