Advice for a Relaxing Honeymoon with Great Food

My fiancee and I are thinking of heading to Bora Bora on our honeymoon for 10-12 days this August... I've scanned a lot of the messages on this forum to get a general overview, but wanted to see if anyone could help with some advice on what we're aiming for in particular...

Basically, we're looking for a place that is romantic, remote/quiet, has really good food, is beautiful (sounds like that won't be tough in Bora Bora), and in general will just allow us to relax. For this trip, we're not looking to really tour around cities & towns or do a lot of anything other than relax on the beach, unplug, read a ton of books, and eat/drink/sleep well (even if it's at the same restaurant the whole time). A boring vacation for some, but ideal for us (at least after surviving all the wedding planning!). We truly do not get bored on sit-on-the-beach vacations of this length.

So anyway, was curious to know opinions on which of the hotels (or places) might fit the bill. Pros/cons of over-water bungalows or other specific location options. Any gotchas to be aware of because of bugs/noise/weather or whatever. Also if we should be looking at anywhere else in FP other than Bora Bora. Although we're not looking to rent our own private island, on our honeymoon we're willing to spend more than usual, so budget hopefully won't be the deciding factor on the trip.

Thanks in advance for help on any part of this!

What you are describing sounds like you are the perfect candidate for an over water bungalow suite in Tikehau. You may want to take a close look at the Pearl Resort there. The other Island that might fit your requirements well is Huahine.

Congratulations to your upcoming marriage. And August is such a perfect time to Honeymoon in Tahiti

Regards Bo
