New Tahitian Currency! Use your old bills by September 30!

Here is information regarding the new currency in French Polynesia, which has started distribution as of January 20th, 2014. The old bills will still be good until September 30, 2014, but won't be accepted after that time.

Interesting. I'll be ordering currency for our March 2014 trip... should make sure they give us the new ones then.

amf1, could you tell me how you order currency. I've read where Well's Fargo is the place to order from, but do you have to have an account there? Thanks.

Kauai, it's easy and very very convenient. It's fed exed to you in about a day or two, you do have to be there to sign for it. We did it last time and will again this time, here's the link, it takes you through a very simple order process. It says 5 days but ours came last time in 2.

Also, anything 1,000 and over the $15 fee is waived. You don't need an account,

I just order mine from my bank, Bank of America. Since they're a five minute walk from me, it's convenient enough for me. I know they will also FedEx (same caveat as above that you need to be present to sign for it). They also waive fees if you order over a certain amount (I believe it's $1000, but would need to check).
