Need serious help planning 10 day stay in croatia

Would appreciate advice on a 10 day stay in croatia in early june. Arriving and leaving from dubrovnik. Finding it mind boggling trying to sort an itenary so any information would be appreciated. Having difficulty trying to find ferry time tables!! Arriving on a friday and leaving on a sunday.

Thinking maybe 2 nights dubrovnik, 3 nights korcula, 3 nights havar and unsure about where else.

Would appreciate info on ferries and hotels.

Thanks in advance :)

Ferry schedules can be found at http://www.jadrolinija.hr/ With only ten days I would only take in at most three places- Dubrovnik, Korcula and Hvar with three nights at each.

-- You'll have a great time if you did a 3/3/3 split among Dubrovnik, Korcula and Hvar.

-- You'll have a great time if you swap out Hvar and put Zadar (or, alternatively, Sibenik) into the mix, which would allow for one day at Plitvice Lakes National Park.

-- You'll have a great time if you decrease the amount of island time to add a day or two to Dubrovnik, which would give you a chance for a side trip to Mostar and Medjugorje, or the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro.

Your mind is boggling only because you have so many great options to choose from. Ask yourself first how much island time you want. Is this primarily a beach vacation, or do you want something more active? Do you want to absorb history, eat local cuisine, or party-hardy? If it's a primarily beach vacation, then 3/3/3, Dubrovnik/Korcula/Hvar would be perfect. If it's a party scene you want, focus more on Hvar. If you want something more active, then considering hiking in Plitvice, or Krka, and basing yourself for a few days in a mainland town such as Zadar or Sibenik.

The one thing I would call non-negotiable is that you should allow yourself at least three nights in Dubrovnik.

I would recommend 3 nights in Dubrovnik, 2 in Korcula, 3 in Hvar and the rest in Split area (Split or Trogir). It does all depend on what you are looking for but this would be ideal for a mix of culture and beach...

Ferries - Nona Ana from Dubrovnik to Korcula (google them) and make sure you are buying the tickets on time as they get REALLY busy in season and sometimes people don't get to board the ferry. From Korcula, there is a 6 AM ferry direct to Hvar town. Too early but the best option. From Hvar, 7:30 ferry to Split is the best option.

In Split area, visit Trogir, Krka waterfalls...

I think Nona Ana runs in July and Aug only.

Visiting Croatia in June is a great choice. There are hundredst of places, more or less famous to visit. What do you prefere. Beches, monumennts, exciting nightlife, nature beauties? Are you into walking, adventure or more "luxury" type? Do you travel with limited budget or you want to taste "the best" there is.

Im sorry for asking all those questions, but it would help to make you a best recomendantion there is :)

Hi!

You have ferry from Dubrovnik to Korcula at thursday and sunday start from Dubrovnik at 8 30 and arive in Korcula at 12 40 www.jadrolinija.hr/default.aspx?dpid=1304

You also have bus line from Dubrovnik to Korcula every day. And after that you have early morning catamaran from Korcula to city Hvar and same catamaran after Hvar go to Split. From Split you have almost every hour bus to Dubrovnik or you can hire a car to visit Trogir and Np Krka and drop of car at Dubrovnik airport.

Thanks so much for all that information.

Think the ferry goes to Korcula from Dubrovnik on Sunday morning but doesn't go from Korcula to Hvar till Thursday. Which means 4 days in Korcula.

Have I got that right?

Thanks for all the suggestions, relly appreciate the feedback.

Looking for a relaxing break with some partying thrown in. So looking for nice accomodation but it all seems quiet expensive.

If there is any where in Dubrovnik, Korcula, Hvar you can recommend that would be great?

Thanks eveyone

There is a Krilo catamaran each morning from Korčula to Hvar, see on ww.krilo.hr- a previous poster has told you so already.
