Travel to Croatia in March (21-27 March) & Public Transport

I would like to go to Croatia with my friend on 21-27 March. We will consider the islands, but will want to go to Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes, Split & Dubrovnik. We know this period of time is the low season for travelling. Since we'll not rent a car by ourselves, do you know if the public transport will not very accessible during this period of time?

We are worried for the transportation to & from Plitvice Lakes from & to Zagreb city centre.Do you know if the buses are difficult to catch? Any suggestions on transportation other than car rental?

Thank you very much!

Buses will be running, but with a lower frequency than in the summer. The Split bus station timetable gives 4 buses a day between Zagreb and Split via Plitvice for February. March will probably be similar. One or two of those arrive in the middle of the night. There's no bus station at Plitvice just a couple of stops on the road. Make sure you are there in good time in case the bus is early. Plenty of buses between Split and Dubrovnik.
