Driving in Croatia

We are now tossing up whether to drive, instead of trains etc. We would hire a car in Osijek and retun it in Rijeka, after drving into Slovenia (Ljubliana, Bled etc).

Is it possible to take rentals cars into Slovenia? Is there a fee to be paid at the border.

Thanks again.

You can do that as well, no fees at the border except that for the Slovenian toll road (it is a sticker and you have to buy it at the border's patrol station, it is usual procedure and you should buy one for minimum stay ( valid for 10 days). When you rent the car they should explain you about it. It is not the hassle but you should always have the sticker visible on the front windshield so you don't get into trouble with authorities there. Once you are in Slovenia do not miss to visit Postojna Cave. Greetings.

By the way, we call that sticker "VINJETA" so please don't forget this word! Happy travel
