Depends on how much you want to pay and on what type of place are you looking for (a small cozy place or a large modern international hotel etc.), they're all equally safe.

Hi CorkBernie,

I would second the Rembrandt hotel, this hotel is a little gem, brilliant staff and lovely rooms all in a good location.

I would recommend you pre-book a room as it does get busy during peak times, any Romanian specialist should be able to help you with this.

Good luck

I would certainly recommend Hotel Opera after having just returned from Bucharest. Good central location. Very comfortable hotel with very friendly helpful staff. All seemed to speak English.
