Hi Looseone

You cannot get RSD before you arrive therefore no choice but to wait. Take Sterling (no point in changing Sterling to Euro and losing two contract costs) and use exchange offices around the city, bone up on current rates before you do so but to be fair there are very few rip offs, The offices generally give better rates than the banks.

There is a small office at the airport arrivals to change enough for taxi/bus, swift beer money etc. Change larger amounts in the city where you'll improve the rate slightly.

Also, taking a debit card with low charges and interbank rate is good advice, ATM's all over the city, English language, saves travelling with lots of cash.

Enjoy your weekend

Thanks for that Stoofer - not a single place in Norwich has any currency - and I tried all of them lol

Yep, Chris, it's a closed currency. Can sometimes get some in Hungary or Croatia but the currency is not supposed to be taken out of the country.

The good news is that ER rates locally make your Sterling go a long way in Serbia.
