Beach for non-surfer

I love watching surfers, an ability I completely admire, but I would also like to play in the waves without getting in anyone's way. Is there an okay beach for a solo female that's not too hard to get to? Anywhere along the Pacific would be great.

There are a number of beaches down near San Juan del Sur that have reputations for being gentler (Playa marsella, play escameca). You could also check out Las Penitas near Leon. A nice combination would be a night at Hostal Mariposa in Leon with a side trip down to Las Penitas. All the benefits of the beach while checking out a great city.

Very good suggestion. I am planning to stay for a few days each in Leon and Granada, so that sounds great.

Thank you so much, Nancy

Check out Majagual beach. Not much there but nice for swimming and body surfing.

I just made Maderas and it was a good vibe in the area. there is a Taco Restaurant and a hostel in case you want to spend the day there.

These all sound so good I will probably hit all of them. Having an inexpensive hostel close by is a definite plus. By looking at the map this can work out really well. Thanks to all, Nancy
