Panama City Lunch Place

I need advice on a nice lunch place while we wait for our in country flight to Bocas del Toro in May. We're set to arrive in Panama City around 10:30am and the Air Panana flight doesn't leave until 3:30p. In the past we've been sitting a the airport with empty stomaches a nothing to do until our flight arrives. So, we have a good 3 hours.

Any suggestions?

HeyMister, The kewlest place in PC for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a midnite snack is Manolo's in the Congrejo district, rite across the street from The Veneto Casino, the nicest casino in PC. The food is ok, the service is ok but the setting is awesome It reminds me of a Parisian, street front cafe with tables inside, with air or outside on the street with a windscreen. It is a great people watching place, especially late at nite, when the nite people start coming out. It is in a very safe place, quite large, and rite on the way from the international airport to Allbrook, the regional airport. Bon Apatite!

Don't bother with Manolo's (Sorry John, but there's heaps of much nicer places to have lunch in the city).

Go to the Market - just off Avenida Balboa on Calle Uruguay - superb menu, you can sit outside there too and the food is 1000% times better than Manolo's.

Cheers,

Andrew

If go to the Uruguay district, I usually stop at the Londoner, great Shepard's Pie and a wonderful selection of beer, but it usually doesn't open til 5. I'll hafta try The Market, Andy, I've seen it there but never stopped. Ya gotta admit, Manolo's is a better people watching spot, I see someone from Bocas every time I go in there, and nobody really walks around on The Uruguay.

We had a wonderful lunch at S'cena in Casco Viejo - fabulous food and excellent service.
