Help with panama "side trip"

We will be going to Peru for 2 weeks end of November. Will have a 10 hour lay over in Panama on our return back to Orlando. Panama arrival time will be 0915, departing 2020. Any suggestion on how to spend 10 hours in Panama? Any recommed tours? Found a whole day tour of OLd Panama city and canal from 10-5 pm <will we have enough time to meet with tour group scheduled for 10 am if we arrive in panama at 0915? Thanks!

Those tours from the airport are designed to meet arriving passengers (and are designed to work with the COPA flights) - if you ensure they know what flight you are on then you should be okay - you won't be doing anything with the luggage so if the plane is on time the it should be fine.

You have time to see:

Panama Canal - Miraflores Visitor's Center

Casco Viejo - colonial area, interesting architecture, churches (one has complete golden altar), National Theater (styled on old-European opera houses and fully re-conditioned), museums (Canal Museum in a must but it's closed on Mondays), Plaza Francia

Amador Causeway - breakwater that protects Pacific entrance to the canal - good stop for lunch with great views of the city

Panama Viejo - ruins of first Spanish settlement on the Pacific coast of the Americas

Hope this helps,
