Guide/taxi to see island for a few hours

Hello

We would like to take the high speed ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket for the day May 23 Wednesday. We have checked bus schedules on Hyannis, and most are not running yet. Somehow we'd like to get to the south side of the island (Surfside Beach) and Madaket Beach on the west and maybe the loop on the east that goes through Sconset.

I looked at car rentals, but they are at the airport.

Are there any cabs, or what would anyone suggest just to drive around the island for the day short of renting a car.

Thank you for your help.

www.arastours.com Usually 90 minutes but ask about the 3-hour tour or anything else that you want.

www.shuttlenantucket.com - schedule starts in May

Barrett's Tours. 508-228-0173

Nantucket Island Tours. 508-228-0334

www.nantucketautorental.com at the airport but will pick up at the ferries

www.affrentals.com $100 - $150/day for a compact car

Hope one of these will work for you. Since you are coming ahead of the season you may find some flexibility if you make phone calls.

Thanks so much for your info; think we will use Nantucket auto rental; $71 inclusive for the day, will meet us at the ferry, so this will meet our needs. I see also bike rentals as I searched around, but we don't want to take bikes. Again, thank you.
