we drive to Woods Hole Ma from DC:

any suggestions of motel/hotel within 1-3 hrs of Woods Hole,???

This would save the stress of meeting a certain ferry to MV after a 9 hour drive. suggestions and opinions would be appreciated.

thanks

There's several of them in both CT and R.I. Somewhere like the La Quinta in Stonington, CT would work. Pretty much right on the border with Rhode Island. Not far off the highway. Decent reviews. About 7 hours from DC with 2 hours to go for Woods Hole.

If that doesn't work for you, then look around that eastern Connecticut or Rhode Island area for more options. You could even stop somewhere like the Seekonk or Fall River areas in southeastern Mass. That would be about 8 hours of driving with another hour to go for Woods Hole.
