1 yr anniversary?

we are wondering if martha's vineyard would be appropriate for a 1 yr anniversary on/around 8/23? If so, what part?

we went to block island right after our wedding and got stuck with 4 straight rainy days.

we are happy with good seafood, cocktails and he loves to swim. we are down to have fun but want to stay somewhere quiet for a good nights sleep

thank you!

How long are you planning to stay? Martha's Vineyard is great, but there is no guarantee on the weather any day in New England. On MV you can easily find a quiet place to sleep while spending the day at the beach. I assume you know that is peak season so you will have to make reservations. And if you are taking your car, you will also need ferry reservations.

Yes we want to book wherever we are going asap. We were thinking 3 or 4 nights depending on price. a 4 star is good for our budget.

The Vineyard would be a great place for your anniversary. Lots to do in Edgartown and great swimming at South Beach (big ocean waves) or the calmer State Beach. Take a look at The Harborside Inn or the Harborview Hotel for great locations and views. There are also terrific smaller inns and b&bs. If you are planning to bring a car over, you will need to book with the Steamship Authority ferry out of Woods Hole.
