Peljesak Peninsula on way to Korcula

Day 5 of our trip

Today we headed north leaving Dubrovnik for the Peljesak peninsula and on to Korcula. We chose to stop in Ston for a coffee break with a local cake made with pasta that was really tasty. Had a walk around - really nice small town. Then headed to Potomje to visit several wineries. We stopped at Madirazza and found Anna to be very helpful - enjoyed their wines, especially the reserve. Then to Matusko and found Zeljka very informative - loved their Dingac reserve. Marine at Violic was a delight. We then headed on to Orebic to park overnight and take the passenger ferry over to Korcula for a 1 night stay in Korcula old town. Parking was easy and free. Once in Korcula, we walked to our apartment very near Boka Wine Bar. Walked around this charming town and enjoyed tasting the white wine "Grk" before a lovely dinner on a terrace. Korcula is truly a sleepy little town, and unless you're just want to spend time relaxing with not much to do, Korcula can easily be just a day excursion.

Hi ljasw,

Yes, the peninsula to wineries is accessible by car from Dubrovnik - no need for ferries onto the peninsula. Once you leave the peninsula heading to Split you'll want to take a ferry to move along either back to the coastline and drive north or via an island. Feel free to inquire further.
